Request for Proposal (RFP) for stump grinding inside the city limits of Durham, primarily within streetside Rights-of-way (collectively referred to as Rights-of-way or ROW), with exceptions being one (1) within a historic Cemetery and two (2) located within a park. The term of this contract will be one hundred and twenty (120) days. The Contractor will be responsible for furnishing all licensing, equipment, materials, labor, and supervision that may be necessary to provide for the removal of specific stumps from the City ROW. The Contractor will be expected to coordinate a target schedule of daily activities with the Project Manager or the Project Managers designee in accordance with Section 53 (Schedule.) below. The Contractor shall follow all applicable law in performing any work pursuant to the contract. Sections 41 through and including 48 are part of the Scope of Work. It is the policy of the City to provide equal opportunities for City contracting for underutilized firms owned by minorities and women doing business in the Citys Contracting Marketplace. Bids that do not contain the appropriate, completed forms will be deemed non-responsive and ineligible for consideration. For procurement services with UBE goals, the UBE Participation and Statement of Intent to Perform as Subcontractor are required of all bidders. Request to Change UBE Participation After Bid Opening and the Questionnaire on Bidders Good Faith Efforts documents are not required at this time. There are no MUBE or WUBE goals on this bid, both have been set at 0%. There will be no performance or payment bond requirement associated with this contract.
