The City of Asheville is seeking a feasibility study determining and recommending the best typologies and best alignments for the yet designed sections on each end of the existing greenway of the Re ed Creek Greenway and the transition area of the Re ed Creek and Glenn Creek Greenway. This study should consider the intent of the 2013 Greenway Master Plan, but should not be constrained by the plans, or description of the greenways. This work shall not exceed a 10% design per NCDOT standards for planning work. The goals of this feasibility study are: 1. Determining the best alignment and typologies for each section of the study area. 2. Implement the Communications & Engagement plan to engage with partner organizations NCDOT and UNCA to determine the best location for alignment. 3. Determine the timeline for optimal construction based on the I-26 project. The interstate project will impact both sides of the greenway corridor. Collaborating with the NCDOT to determine construction timing and facility design. It is expected that this request will result in the development of a list of 3-5 firms that will be interviewed. Based on the submittals and possibly the interviews, the highest-ranking firm will be selected for negotiations for a contract. By submitting a Letter of Interest and Statement of Qualifications, the Prospective Consultant certifies that if awarded the Contract, they and their subcontractors shall comply with the City's Drug-Free Workplace Policy. The policy may be viewed at the following Miscellaneous Requirements of the Submittals: Prospective Consultants are notified of a City policy that prohibits contracting with persons or firms who are delinquent in the payment of ad valorem taxes owed to the City of Asheville The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any or all Letters of Interest and Statements of Qualifications.
