As of January 6, 2023, project was awarded to Duke’s Root Control, Inc., awarded amount is $76,176.50. Sealed Bids will be received by the Purchasing Department of the Township of Woodbridge, for 2022 SANITARY SEWER ROOT CONTROL RETREATMENT CONTRACT NO. 2022-029 Together with all appurtenances in accordance with Plans and Specifications on file with the Office of the Municipal Engineer. This contract is for sanitary sewer improvements. Worked include but not limited to: Sanitary Sewer Root Control Retreatment, in a foam form, to approximately 37,450 linear feet of sanitary sewer line in the Township of Woodbridge. The sanitary sewer range in size from 6, 8, 10, 12, & 24 inches in diameter and 1 Manhole, with the majority of the sewer being 8 inches in diameter. Sewer improvements are in various locations throughout the municipality. Proposals in the Contract Documents must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the work on the outside, addressed to Purchasing Agent, Township of Woodbridge. Each bid must also be accompanied by a certificate of consent of surety from a bonding company licensed to do business in the state of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township, and named in the current list of "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds", U.S. Treasury Department, guaranteeing that if the proposal of the Bidder be accepted, they will furnish the bond set forth in Paragraph One of the Instructions to Bidders of the contract and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement. The successful bidder shall be required to comply to the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964. During the performance of this contract, the Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27) and N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., all requirements of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended, and the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), as amended with regard to worker and jobsite safety. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. Bids must be submitted on the Proposal Form furnished to the Bidder, and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for not less than ten percent of the amount of the bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the Township of Woodbridge, New Jersey for all proceedings, suits, or actions of any kind of description and conditional for the faithful performance of the work. All labor shall be covered by an approved health and hospital insurance plan, and approved pension plan and an apprenticeship training program pursuant to standards established under the Department of Labor and Industry Act of 1948 (N.J.S.A. 34:1A 34, et seq.). A statement of Employee benefits must be completed in order for the Bid to be accepted. A statement of Employee Benefits should be included following the Statement of Ownership in the bid package. The attention of the Bidders is particularly directed to the following: "Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L., 1975, c. 127" (N.J.A.C. 17:27). The Municipal Council reserves the right to accept or deny any or all bids in which opinion will be in the best interest of the Township.
