As of October 3, 2024, this project was only for design, not construction, and design has been completed. The redesign will generally include a full ROW reconstruction including roadway section, sidewalk/ multiuse path, all handicapped ramps replaced per code, curb and gutter, pedestrian facility improvements, parking, traffic calming, potential intersection improvements for traffic operation/traffic calming and or pedestrian safety, sections of milling and overlays as appropriate, waterline replacements, sewer line replacements, electrical relocations, street lighting, signing, striping, traffic calming, vegetation preservation where applicable, landscape reconstruction/replacement, improve the storm sewer system function, improve water quality along the corridor, and provide a better pedestrian experience through this corridor. In addition, the city wishes to evaluate street section design scenarios.
