Request for Proposals for Miscellaneous Projects (Open List) is to establish a standing list of qualified construction firms which the Development Services Department will use to assign proposed construction projects from Miscellaneous Project submissions. All construction will be per published design manuals, ordinances, specifications, and policies. Generally, typical projects will be small-scale or infill projects and can include the following: construction to replace existing water and/or sanitary sewer mains the extension of existing water and/or sanitary sewer mains (800 feet or less) water and sanitary sewer services installation of water meters construction of sidewalk (800 feet or less) Commercial/residential driveways Street light installation (4 or fewer) stormwater pipe (800 feet or less) stormwater inlet. Construction documents may include a plan and profile for paving and utilities, a traffic control plan, a stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP), street/curb & gutter repair/replacement, franchise utility locates, contract documents, and specifications, as required. Standard Construction Details may be allowed instead of plans for more straightforward construction projects, deemed acceptable by city staff. Project lists will be created later as customer applications are received.
