PROJECT NAME: Navarro Mills Lake Road PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The proposed improvements are for 3R rehabilitation to rehabilitate 3.8 miles of FM 709. The roadway provides access to the Navarro Mills Harbor Marina and the Dam Road. The improvements begin approximately at intersection SH 31 in the City of Dawson and ends at the Liberty Hill Park junction. The proposed project is anticipated to be full depth reclamation, shoulder widening, and asphalt concrete pavement (ACP). In addition, the project will add guardrail, replace bridge transition rail, guardrail end terminals, mow strips, extend or replacement culverts and install safety end treatments to drainage structures. The roadway will be widened to 11-foot lanes and 3-foot shoulders. Signing and pavement markets and rumble strips will be included to improve safety.
