The work to be included under this contract shall consist of the furnishing of all materials, equipment, service, and labor necessary for and/or reasonably incidental to the construction and completion of the Reroofing at Heritage Jr./Sr. High School and Cedarville Elementary School.All work shall be performed in the best and most workmanlike manner to complete all construction and everything incidental thereto, as shown on the drawings, stated in these specifications or reasonably implied therefrom. Bidders will be required to file, with their bids, a certified check made payable to the East Allen County Schools or a Bid Bond for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of their maximum bid or bids. Should a successful bidder withdraw its bid, or fail to execute a satisfactory Contract, East Allen County Schools may then declare the bid deposit or bid bond to be forfeited as liquidated damages.In the event the bidder withdraws the bid or fails to execute a satisfactory Contract and furnish a satisfactory Contract Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond with a surety company in accordance with Article 11.5 of the General Conditions and Supplementary Conditions, for 100% of the contract amount within ten (10) days after a contract has been awarded to such a bidder by the Owner, said Owner may declare such certified or cashiers. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder complying with the conditions for bidding, provided the bid is reasonable and it is to the best interest of the Owner to accept it.
