Hernandez Middle School and West Park Steam Academy- Interior Classroom Renovation THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO invites pre-qualified General Contractors to bid on the project/projects referenced below. Bids must be submitted on the forms issued as part of the Bidding Documents. Bidding Contractors are required to be pre-qualified with the Chicago Public Schools for this project. The form of agreement for the work will be the General Contracting Services Agreement. This contract is subject to all of the terms and conditions of the General Contracting Services Agreement between the Board and General Contractor dated as of January 1, 2017. Warning: Asbestos-containing building materials are or may be present in this building. An asbestos management plan is available in the school for review upon request. No person may disturb asbestos- containing materials unless that person is a licensed asbestos worker or conducts such work in accordance with specification(s) contained in the project documents and in compliance with Illinois Department of Health rules and regulations. CONTRACT PERIOD: Contractor to Achieve Preliminary Acceptance By: 08/01/2023 PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BOND: 100% of the Base Contract Price BID RFI DEADLINE: All Bidding RFIs are due by 3pm, January 3rd , 2023. Any RFIs received after this date may not receive a response. BID BOND: A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid price is required.
