Interior (Apparatus Bays) and exterior sealing and painting at main fire station 28 Blackstone Street. Work shall include: Interior Painting: Power wash, prime, and paint apparatus bays including with doors frames. Exterior Sealing & Painting: Power wash, apply water repellant sealant to all split face and smooth block surfaces. Clean and paint metal roof and miscellaneous metal & overhead doors. Item #1 - Interior Painting - Power wash unpainted walls to remove surface contaminants and efflorescence - Prime all bare block with block filler primer (Sherwin Williams surapar Prime High Speed, or approved equal.) -Prepare and prime all doors and frames - Apply two coats Pre-catalyzed Epoxy (Sherwin Williams Epoxy (E Series) Flat Gloss or approved equal.) - Clean up the work areas Includes: Walls, trim, man doors and door frames in Apparatus Bay. Excludes: Ceiling, trusses, interior of overhead doors. The Town will remove all items and move equipment away from walls of the Apparatus Bay area prior to the Contractor commencing work. The Contractor must give the Town 14 calendar days' notice before mobilizing to allow time to relocate all items and equipment. Payment for this item shall a lump sum. Bidders must submit bids that provide full compensation for all labor, tools, equpment, and materials to complete the above noted work. The bidder is elibible for full payment under this item up completion of all work including clean up. Item #2 - Exterior Sealing - Power wash exterior to remove all surfaces contaminants. - Allow surface to dry thoroughly - Mask surfaces not being coated - Apply flood coat of Water Repellant (Sherwin Williams CONFLEX 7% Siloxane Water Repellent or approved equal.) - Clean up the work areas Includes: All exterior split- face and smooth block Excludes: All other surfaces. The bidder is elibible for full payment under this item up completion of all work including clean up. Item #3 - Metal Roofs and Overhead Doors - Cover and protect all surfaces not being painted - Clean surfaces to remove all surface contaminants - Scrape and sand to remove all loose, peeling paint and any loose, scale rust. - Spot prime any rust with Sherwin Williams Pro-Cryl Universal Acrylic Primer or approved equal. - Apply 2 coats of Red Sherwin Williams Sher-Cryl HPA High Performance Acrylic Semi-Gloss Coating or approved equal. - Clean up all work areas Includes: 3 metal roofs on building, exterior of 4 metal overhead doors in front of apparatus bay. Excludes: All other areas and surfaces. Payment for this item shall a lump sum.
