Renovation of a water / sewer project in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The work primarily consists of blasting, repairing pitted areas and holes, and applying a protective coating system to the interior of the existing 428,000-gallon ground storage tank located at the District's water plant at 10950 Bending Brook Lane. Additionally, a 12-inch PVC fill line diffuser on the interior of the tank is to be replaced, an additional fill portal with blind flange is to be installed, existing defective interior walls are to be grinded and welded, and any damages caused by blasting shall be repaired Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or acceptable Bid Bond, payable to Reid Road MUD No. 1, in an amount no less than 5% of the maximum bid price submitted, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract within ten (10) days after receipt of the contract documents. Check shall be drawn on a responsible bank in the state and a bid bond shall be issued by a surety legally authorized to do business in the stat The right is reserved, as the interest of the district may require, to reject any or all bids and/or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Additionally, bids cannot be withdrawn 24 hours after they are opened.
