Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lacey Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.

*As of March 14, 2023, All sub trades have already been bought out. No more subs needed. Construction could start in about a month or so, and is anticipated to be completed in August of 2023. For Alterations for New STEM Labs at Lacey Township High School All requests for information (RFI) must be submitted in writing by December 30, 2022, and sent by faxing to 609-883-2694 or by emailing cwoodward@fvhdpc.com, or via common carrier to the Architect. All correspondence must include the Architect Project Name and Project Number referenced. The Architect is not responsible for misdirected or misrouted correspondence. Bids will be received for: Single Overall Contract (C009 with C030, C032 & C047) Contractors assume all risks associated with their presence on District premise. Construction workers shall follow recommended precautions to protect themselves and other workers, staff, students, etc. at the project site(s). Bid Documents for the proposed Work are on file at the office of the Architect, Fraytak Veisz Hopkins Duthie, P.C., 1515 Lower Ferry Road, Trenton, NJ 08618, tel. 609.883.7101. All requests for information (RFI) must be submitted in writing by December 30, 2022, and sent by faxing to 609-883-2694 or by emailing cwoodward@fvhdpc.com, or via common carrier to the Architect. All correspondence must include the Architect Project Name and Project Number referenced. The Architect is not responsible for misdirected or misrouted correspondence. Bid Proposal shall be submitted in duplicate (one original and one copy) in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Owner, bearing the name and address of the bidder, and clearly marked "BID" with the contract title and/or bid number on the outside of the envelope and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Owner in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000; and must be delivered to the above place on or before the hour named. The Board of Education and the Architect assume no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. A bidder on a public works project for a Board of Education where the cost of the work exceeds $20,000 must first have been qualified by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26 through 33, and shall submit with his bid a Prequalification Affidavit, a copy of a valid and active NOTICE OF CLASSIFICATION, a certified copy of a Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts Form and an Affidavit that subsequent to the latest such statement submitted by him, there has been no material adverse change in his qualification information except as set forth in said Affidavit. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18:18A-25, each proposal shall be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a Surety Company stating it will provide each bidder with a separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract sum. Also, Surety agrees to furnish Bidder with a Maintenance Bond in required form. The Consent of Surety shall be executed by an approved surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and in accordance with N.J.S.A. 2A-44-143, and 2A:44-144 and with the three highest rating categories of rating companies nationally recognized and listed as per Appendix A (go to www.nj.gov/dobi/surety.htm). Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. the "Public Schools Contracts Law." This project is subject to the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.27 et seq. All bidders must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. and N.J.S.A. 10:2-1. An Initial Project Workforce Report will be required from the successful bidder (Form AA-201). Per N.J.S.A. 52:32-44(b) all contractors and subcontractors must provide a Business Registration Certificate prior to contract award. "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act", N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. (P.L. 199, c.238) requires bidders and their subcontractors to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and to possess a current certificate by said Department indicating compliance with the Act prior to the time and date that bids are received. All bidders must comply with the requirements Laws Against Discrimination N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., Affirmative Action Regulations, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. (P.L. 1975, c.127), N.J.S.A. 17:27-1.1 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 6A:7-1.8. An Initial Project Workforce Report will be required from the successful bidder (Form AA-201). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date set for the opening thereof. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any minor informality in the bidding in accordance with applicable law.
