Renovation of a residential development in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
As of Sept 5, 2024, this project is in the conceptual phase. An architect has not been selected. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Hendersonville, Tennessee, was gifted a house as part of a development agreement, currently 252 East Main. The house has historic significance but is in need of repair. The city has no current need for the house, but would like to see the house restored, in a similar manner, to its original state. The city is willing and able to lease, at no cost, the house and give a grant of $100,000 towards the repairs of the house, so long as the lessee restores the house and maintains the house for the life of the lease. The city expects written proposals identifying how the house and land (property) would be used, the restoration work proposed, the length of time for use of the property and the financing mechanism for the restoration and continued maintenance of the property. All questions must be received by January 4, 2023 The proposal shall include qualifications of the firm or individual submitting the proposal and shall indicate the scope of services to be completed by any sub-consultants. The proposal shall also acknowledge receipt of the Addendum if one is published to the city website. All questions received after said date will not be considered. If questions are received the city will post one addendum on the city website by 11:00 p.m. CST January 6, 2023.
