Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Corona, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
As of Feb 21 the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established . The County is seeking quotes for Plumbing/HVAC; Electrical; flooring; painting & light carpentry at the Corona Senior Center. The work will commence in phases in the order of priority, Electrical, HVAC & Plumbing and is expected to start as soon as acceptable quotes have been selected. December 12, 2022, date for any interested party to reply to the Purchasing Agent to be notified of any changes to walkthrough dates, times etc. December 14 at 2:00 pm; January 11th at 2:00 pm - two pre-estimate walkthrough days, if necessary, to accommodate all vendors. Dates & times are weather permitting. January 23, 2023, by 5:00 pm-Deadline to submit all quotes. Quotes will be reviewed, and a vendor selected based on the best quotes providing our specs or needs; suggestions; and pricing. Contact Purchasing Agent at 575-648-2385 x 105 Purchasing@lincolncountynm.gov. Requirements for Quotes/Estimates ELECTRIC: 1. Building: Assess/recommendations on electric: to upgrade voltage or whatever to accommodate appliances bigger HVAC etc 2. Need separate quote to rewire entire building up to date wiring vs piece meal 3. Bathrooms (both): GFI outlet x 1 low (2-3 ft up) for possible electric heat tape for pipes 4. Kitchen: make sure all are GFI outlets; check for issues or recommend upgrades 1. Install or relocate outlets for the commercial freezer and refrigerator, cap off the old location [it will be near water] 2. Install 2 GFI outlets along east wall (where cabinets were removed) property height for use at a future stainless table/counter height. 5. Laundry: check/recommend upgrade may need GFI plugs. LIGHTS: Fixtures need to be the most efficient and brightest lights all LED. Ballasts or something "aesthetically nicer" to accomplish our needs. 1. Kitchen: (4) 6ft kitchen lights upgrade able to handle humidity in the kitchen and be bright. 2. Dining room: install 4 new ceiling fans or remove/cap off from exiting fans; install separate led lighting x 8 3. Wire lights fans & lights working off a separate light switch 4. Entry: remove the 3 can lights replace with a led ballast or w/ led lights. 5. Bathrooms: Upgrade light fixtures with (1) led fixture in each bathroom. 6. Laundry: (2) 6ft LED ballast fixtures or something "aesthetically nicer" to accomplish our needs. 7. Office: (3) 6ft LED ballast fixtures or something "aesthetically nicer" to accomplish our needs. HVAC: System upgrade throughout, please provide recommendations on type; one system; two areas; mini-splits and where Ducts to each room especially kitchen, maybe more or bigger vents, recommendations. (Electric may need upgrade first TBD) PLUMBING: KITCHEN: 1. Relocate/install/modify plumbing for the existing three compartment sink; drain; water lines (Hot & Cold) 2. relocate and hook up the existing three compartment sink along west wall. 3. Install exhaust vents behind the freezer & fridge on the south wall. 4. Test when done. BATHROOMS to be ADA COMPLIANT: Men's: I. new urinal (1 or small trough type) II. 1 stall with an ADA height toilet III. 1 new sink & faucet Women's ADA COMPLIANT: I. change from 3 stalls to 2 handicapped sized stalls; reuse/paint partitions if saving money. II. 2 New Toilets-ADA height III. 2 new sinks/faucets CARPENTRY/SHEET ROCK KITCHEN (See rough drawing) 1. Remove exiting wooden cabinets (uppers & lower) located on the east side of kitchen 2. Remove all wooden shelves in the pantry 3. Open the pantry entry, removing the entry wall to allow room along south wall for the relocated freezer & fridge. PAINTING/Patching: 1. Repairs: cover wall where an A/C was in the kitchen; repairs necessary from taking down the shelves on east kitchen wall and pantry; 2. Cover old window hole in dining area sheetrock or something; 3. Repair/patch any walls as a result of removing shelving in kitchen (prior to painting). 4. Patch any wall "blemishes" before painting. 5. Paint entry; dining; laundry; bathroom; office in neutrals/light gray or rooms can be in different shades in the same complementary colors. 6. Note: PAINT in Kitchen & Baths must be "Kitchen & Bath Paint"; all paint is to be semi-gloss or satin finish not flat. FLOORING: 1. Kitchen: New commercial kitchen grade flooring, the same flooring as Capitan Center in gray; rough texture (picture attached) 2. Bathrooms: non-slip and sealable same type of flooring as Capitan kitchen flooring in a smooth finish gray color (attached picture) 3. Laundry: If hardwood under the tile refinish hardwood or same type of flooring as kitchen flooring in a smooth finish, gray color 4. Entry way: if hardwood, refinished stained gray barnwood color or non-slip flooring same type of flooring as bathrooms in a smooth finish gray color. FLOORING continued: 5. Office: Same type of flooring as Capitan center kitchen flooring in a smooth finish gray color (see example) Note: All exposed hardwood floors are to be sanded, stained , some kind of topcoat finish in semi- gloss, stain in gray barnwood color. Same flooring that is Capitan kitchen but in gray (photo attached in color blue); rough texture in the kitchen and a smooth finish in gray color in bathrooms; office and laundry.
