ACQUISITION INFORMATION: NPS anticipates soliciting and awarding one construction contract to be procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation and FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought or any follow up information requests. 6. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: National Park Service is seeking interested firms capable of executing a construction contract to Replace the Wood Shingle Roofs and Miscellaneous Exterior Repairs of historic structures. The project magnitude is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This project will replace existing deteriorated cedar shingle roofs on four interconnected row house roofs. The scope includes replacement of roofing and cheek wall siding on dormers. New built-in gutters will be installed. Rain leaders will be tested and cleared if necessary to ensure proper drainage. The scope includes rear service wing roofs at 309 and 313-315. One false chimney at the 311-313 service wing is leaning and will be replaced. A missing shed roof over the 309 basement stairs will be replaced. Eroded mortar joints will be raked and repointed to match existing tooling. Exterior woodwork at roof level will be repainted to match the existing paint color. At the interior of Bishop White House, interior plaster and finishes will be repaired. Includes but not limited to the following: tear off existing roof and installation of new wood shingle roof, carpentry repairs, window repair, glazing, painting, plaster repair, masonry repairs, flashing, and move/store of museum collection. 7.
