MnDOT requests responses for preliminary and detailed design services for SP 8828-251 and SP 4310-96. This includes a biddable final plan set and proposal, construction limits, scope verification roll plot, geometric layout if needed, completed utility coordination and relocations, and all necessary permits completed for the project. SP 8828-251 is a districtwide guardrail replacement project. The project will include but not limited to removal of guardrail, minor grading, and guardrail installation. The guardrail locations are located on bridge #'s 12008, 37005, 6403, 5117, 34027, 43009, 47005, 64001, 64003, 64009, 64010, 47007, and on TH 12 at Reference Point 100+00.030. SP 4310-96 is a high tension cable median barrier project. The project is located on TH 212 from the west junction of TH 212 and TH 22 to the McLeod/Carver County line (Zebra Avenue) in McLeod County. The goal of this project is to provide the State with a team that will provide project development and deliverables needed to bring SP 8828-251 and SP 4310-96 to letting on schedule. The products and services needed for this project include, but are not limited to; project management, environmental work, surveying, geometric layout, scope verification roll plot, construction limits, traffic engineering, hydraulic design, permitting, detailed design, construction staging plans, utility coordination, construction design support, and agency involvement. Coordinating and leading public engagement will be handled outside of this contract. See attached Exhibit A: Specifications, Duties, and Scope of Work for further information. If there are no firms listed on the "Official Pre-Qualified Consultant List" for an identified work type(s), the responder may provide the work themselves or they may subcontract with any firm they choose. MnDOT anticipates posting answers to all questions received by 2:00PM Central Standard Time on 12/29/2022. This request for letters of interest does not obligate MnDOT to award a contract or complete the project, and MnDOT reserves the right to cancel the announcement if it is considered to be in its best interest.
