Demolition and renovation of an educational facility in Hilo, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for the renovation of a educational facility.
The deadline to submit requests for clarification of the requirements of this IFB is April 16, 2024 The project shall in general consist of, but is not limited to, demolition, and interior and exterior work of approximately 35 existing buildings within and around the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) at the University of Hawaii Waiakea Research Station in Hilo. There will also be a new Pre-engineered Metal Building and conversion of the existing cesspool to an individual wastewater system in the property. Work includes site work; asphalt pavement; concrete; metals; flashing and sheet metal; carpentry; standing seam roof; doors and frames; overhead coiling doors; aluminum windows; finish hardware; glass and glazing; metal louvers; gypsum wallboard; acoustical ceiling tile; fiberglass reinforced wall panels; painting; phenolic toilet partitions; hazardous material abatement; plumbing; air conditioning and ventilation; electrical work; and miscellaneous related work as shown on the Plans and Specifications. bid reduced by 5% for evaluation purposes. If the contract is awarded, the award would be for the total amount bid without the preference.
