Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a multi-residential development in Hemphill, Texas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a multi-residential development; for site work for a multi-residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a multi-residential development.

The City of Hemphill is accepting Sealed Bids for full project costs to demolish the building located at 250 Oak Street, commonly known as the Old Sabine Apartments. The building is to be demolished and all debris removed. Demolition debris must be disposed of in a legal manner and contractors must provide satisfactory evidence of liability insurance to the City prior to beginning work. Contractors must comply with all Federal, State and Local guidelines, regulations and laws during demolition and disposal operations. Envelope must be plainly marked on the outside as BID for Sabine Apartments Building Demolition. The name of the bidder, address, and phone number must also be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. All bids must be made on the required bid form. All blank spaces must be filled in, in ink or typewritten, and the bid form must be fully completed and executed when submitted. Only one copy of the bid form is required. The owner may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all bids. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for opening of bids. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders must satisfy themselves of the scope of work by examination of the site and a review of the specifications. After the bids have been submitted, the bidder shall not assert that there was a misunderstanding concerning the quantities of work or the nature of the work to be done. The owner will provide to bidders prior to bidding, all information which is pertinent to and delineates and describes the property to be demolished and cleared. Bid Bond, Payment Bond and Performance Bond will not be required as part of this bid. Successful bidder must provide satisfactory evidence of liability insurance to the City prior to contract award. Notice of award will be issued within ten days of bid award and notice to proceed will be issued concurrently. The City may make such investigations as is necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work, and the bidder shall furnish the City all such information and data for this purpose as the City may request. The owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of such bidder fails to satisfy the owner that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the agreement and to complete the work contemplated therein. A conditional or qualified bid will not be accepted. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and compliant bidder. All applicable laws, ordinances and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over the project shall apply throughout.
