Augusta County, Virginia (County) will be constructing a new courthouse complex to include three court systems: Circuit, General, Juvenile & Domestic Relations, and related court functions. The new courthouse will be three floors and approximately 122,269 square feet. Moseley Architect (A/E) is currently contracted with the County for design development, construction plan development and bidding assistance. The schematic plan phase has been completed. Existing courts and related functions will move from Staunton, Virginia to Verona, Virginia. The courthouse design will meet Virginia's Courthouse Facilities Guidelines. It is the intention of the County to contract with a professional construction management firm to provide design and construction plan review and construction project management. The project should have at least one General Contractor and a Project Construction Managing (PCM) firm who will work within the General Contractor framework on behalf of the County.
