Honiss HVAC Unit Ventilator and VRF Replacement Every bid shall be accompanied by: (1) An unconditional certified check or a bid bond in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid but not in excess of $20,000; (2) Consent of Surety to Issue Performance and Payment Bonds; (3) Pre-Qualification/Classification Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury; (4) Pre-Qualification Affidavit; (5) Non-Collusion Affidavit; (6) Ownership Disclosure Statement; (7) DPMC Notice of Classification; (8) DPMC Certification of Uncompleted Projects; (9) Certificate of Public Works Contractor Registration; (10) Certification of Non-Debarment/Disqualification/Suspension; (11) Affirmative Action Certification. (12) N.J. Business Registration Certificate PL 2004 c57 (13) Certificate of Authority to perform work in New Jersey/NJ Sales and Use Tax Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., The Law Against Discrimination, N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 6:4-1.6. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. pertained to Public Schools Contract law. All bidders shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor pursuant to the Public Works Contractor registration Act, NJSA 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, pursuant to the P.L. 2004 c.57 Business Registration Certificates. Any bid not including a copy of a valid and active certificate may be rejected as non-responsive to the bid requirements. No bidder who is on the State Treasurers, the EDAs, the SDAs or the Federal Governments List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. The Dumont Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. No bid shall be deemed awarded until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Dumont Board of Education. The low bidder will be based off of the bid amounts under CONTRACT #1 and the low bidder based off of the bid amounts under CONTRACT #2. Low bid is not based off of the total of CONTRACT #1 & #2. Its the low bid of each separate contract. So DUMONT Board of Education can award CONTRACT #1 & #2 to two separate bidders. A bidder can decide not to bid for Contract #2 2. Base Bid Contract #1: The Work consists of all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the removal and installation of new unit ventilators and new VRF (variable refrigerant flow) systems throughout various rooms in the building as base bid work. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the removal of existing HVAC equipment, shelving and hung ceilings, spline ceilings and installation of new unit ventilators, VRF's, ductwork through wall sleeves, louvers, utilities, ALL electrical panels including panel for gymnasium roof top units, insulated metal panel, piping insulation, piping covers, electrical feed, core drilling through CMU walls, fire stopping, roof, painting, etc. 3. Base Bid Contract #2: The Work consists of all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the installation of the new Gymnasium roof top units (ERU-1 & ERU-2) and steel dunnage (drawings S101 & S201) and any work associated within the gym, gym stage area and removal of air handling unit demolition notes #24 & #17 as noted on sheet D-2. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the partial removal and installation of new roofing, HVAC equipment, ductwork, gas line, utilities, electrical lines run to electrical panels, insulation, piping insulation, piping covers, electrical feed, electrical conduit and feed from panels to RTU's, core drilling through CMU walls, fire stopping, painting, etc. All requests for clarification and/or interpretation by Bidders must be submitted in writing to Environetics Group Architects by February 15, 2024 at 4:00 PM.
