The project consists of construction of a two-story, roughly 54,000 square-foot recreation and fitness facility on 3-acres of undeveloped land within Morse Community Park. The center will include 2 indoor gymnasiums, fitness areas for cardio equipment and free weights, 2 aerobic/fitness exercise rooms, a multi-purpose room, upstairs fitness deck, indoor jogging track, locker rooms, private changing rooms, and administration offices. In addition to the main structure, the project includes site improvements to the undeveloped 3-acre site. Site improvements include construction of new pedestrian hardscapes, landscaping and irrigation, site lighting, an event lawn, bouldering/slackline area, and associated utility connections. Pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. In bidding on this project, it shall be the Bidder's sole responsibility to evaluate and include the cost of complying with all labor compliance requirements under this contract and applicable law in its bid.
