The City of Somersworth requests that sidewalk improvement work begin on Monday May 1, 2023 with a substantial completion date no later than Friday July 14, 2023 and a final completion date of Friday August 18, 2023. Bid Bonds/Surety is required to be submitted at the time of Bid in the amount of 5% (minimum) of the bid price and shall be valid for sixty (60) calendar days from the date bids are due. Payment Bond is required to be submitted within ten (10) business days from the date of the City's Notice of Award in the amount of 100% of the estimated contract price. Performance Bond is required to be submitted within ten (10) business days from the date of the City's Notice of Award in the amount of 100% of the estimated contract price. Pending budget availability, the anticipated Base Bid work is as follows: 1. Reconstruct asphalt sidewalk along West High Street from Maple Street to Cemetery Road (1,900 ft). 2. Reconstruct asphalt sidewalk along West High Street from Cemetery Road crosswalk to SAU Building driveway (40 ft). 3. Reconstruct asphalt sidewalk on Bartlett Avenue from Cass Street to Guy Street (500 ft). 4. Reconstruct the existing asphalt sidewalk and concrete sidewalk and curbing along both sides of Green Street from Franklin Street to Indigo Hill Road (2,400 ft). Pending budget availability, the anticipated Bid Alternative work is as follows: Bid Alternative #1 is the same scope as base bid #4 but includes installing all concrete sidewalk on both sides of Green Street from Franklin Street to Myrtle Street in addition to replacing sidewalk south of Myrtle Street Bid results - Base Bid 1 - GMI Asphalt - $90,905.00 Base Bid 2 - GMI Asphalt - $16,020.00
