As of March 22, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. No definite date for the rebid. Contract 1 is for materials only delivered to the Town. Contract 2 project is located within the Town of Marion and is generally described as labor, materials and equipment to upgrade the existing sewer pumping equipment by replacing the rotating assembly for 12" and 10" suction lift pumps for the RAS and Biocell pump stations at the treatment plant site. Contract 3 project is located within the Town of Marion and is generally described as labor and equipment to rebuild two existing centrifugal blowers. Contract 4 project is located within the Town of Marion and is generally described as labor and equipment to upgrade the existing diffused aeration system. The Town will be furnishing all materials directly to the installing contractor. Contract 5 project is located at the wastewater treatment plant site and is generally describe as removing existing redwood biocell media and replacing with new PVC media. The Town will be furnishing all materials directly to the installing contractor. A Bid on contracts 2, 3,4 or 5 must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to OWNER in an amount of five percent of Bidder's Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond. Bids on Contract 1 do not required a bid bond. If a Bid is withdrawn, the next higher bidder shall be deemed to be the Low Bidder. No Bid may be withdrawn unless said withdrawal is permitted by law. Withdrawal of a BID shall result in forfeiture of the Bidder's BID BOND. If the Bid is in the amount of $10,000 or more, the Bidder and its Subcontractors must comply with the provisions of Executive Orders 11246 and 11375, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders and their subcontractors must comply with the provisions of Executive Orders 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) firms and provide documentation of "good faith efforts" upon request by Owner. All materials furnished on the project must comply with the Build America Buy America Act P.L. 117-58. MBE and WBE firms are encouraged to bid. Bidders must comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not, and will not, maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.
