The Commissioners of Public Works of the City of Charleston, South Carolina, is requesting interested Contractors to complete an Application for Prequalification of Bidders for providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for construction of the Fort Johnson and Secessionville Road Intersection Improvements Water Main Relocation Project in the James Island area of the City of Charleston, South Carolina. The Project consists of the installation of approximately 650 LF of 24-inch DIP water main, 67 LF of 16-inch DIP water main, 61 LF of 10-inch DIP water main, 50 LF of 8-inch DIP water main, relocation of one (1) fire hydrant, one (1) 16-inch butterfly valve, one (1) 6-inch gate valve, 6-inch thru 24-inch pipe bell restraints, tie-in to existing mains, and all other associated appurtenances. Neither the Owner nor Engineer has any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or sufficiency of the Application, including any Addenda, obtained from any other source. Bids for this project will only be accepted from Contractors who have been prequalified for this project. The Owner will not accept bids from Contractors who fail to submit timely applications for prequalification or from Contractors who fail to prequalify. The project will be bid at a later date as part of Charleston County's Fort Johnson and Secessionville Road Intersection Improvements Project. Bids are tentatively scheduled to be opened in February/March 2023. The method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
