Site work for a water / sewer project in Marietta, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The proposed project includes extending sanitary sewer to areas near and around Bishop Lake and portions of the Piedmont Heights subdivision currently served by septic systems, both in response to successful petitions under the Cobb County Sewer Extension Policy. As part of the Bishop Lake sewer extension, sanitary sewer will be extended to decommission the Bishop Green Lift Station and a small section of waterline replacement will be involved. A condition assessment of the existing Bishop Lake Lift Station shall be included in the scope of work. The proposed project also includes a relief sewer for the Brookwood Drive area to provide additional sewer capacity for the area, as the existing sewer is near capacity. The scope of the services will include a data collection, preliminary and detailed designs, preparation of permit and bid documents, and bid assistance. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
