In general the work consists of abating and demolishing the original Albertson Library in its entirety including footings and foundations, associated raised plinth, berms, and exterior steps and ramps, and utilities connected to the existing building to prepare the site for the construction of a new replacement facility. Albertson Hall (202,006 gross square feet) is a six-story facility constructed in two phases. The first phase (128,270 gross square feet) was occupied in 1970 and an addition (73,736 gross square feet) was completed in 1985.
