The Corporation of the City of London (the City) is seeking proposal submissions (Proposals) from interested and qualified firms (Proponents) who are capable of undertaking the project for the design and supply of natural playground equipment and poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing to be installed at Hyde Park Village Green as noted in the Request for Proposal (RFP) documents. The City of London is seeking a vendor to design, supply, and install new natural playground equipment for Hyde Park Village Green, located at 1695 Hyde Park Rd. The park is located beside a large storm water management pond, that is visited by migrating birds and insects. The presence of native trees and shrubs planted on the edges of the pond, as well as naturally occurring herbaceous plants create a natural landscape that is enjoyed by neighbourhood residents. While the park is being enhanced as a new event park, the playground is intended to complement the natural surroundings of this outdoor environment. For this RFP, the definition of a 'natural playground equipment' should be understood as: - play equipment that is made of natural materials (such as wood) or other elements (such as tree logs or boulders) instead of a traditional steel playground structure that includes plastic slides and climbers in vibrant colours. Playground installation is expected to occur between June 15, and September 15, 2023. A milestone schedule must be included in your proposal confirming expected lead times for each proposal and approximate installation time. New play equipment must be ready for installation by June 15, 2023. The milestone schedule should anticipate receiving a purchase order by March 10, 2023.
