The Millington Airport Authority is soliciting sealed bids, subject to the conditions herein, for renovation of the existing air traffic control tower. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond from a Surety Company acceptable to the Owner or a cashier''s check or certified check made payable to the Millington Airport Authority for not less than 5 percent of the total amount of the bid. A 100% contract bond will be required upon successful bid as part of the execution of the project contracts. Proposals/bids are required to remain open for acceptance or rejection for the duration outlined in General Contract Provisions 30-02, but the Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any informalities and technicalities in the bids received, to the extent permitted by applicable law, and to accept any bid which, in its sole discretion, is in the best interest of the Owner. All bidders are responsible for compliance with Federal and State requirements for preparation and submission of the proposal. The successful bidder shall be responsible for compliance with Federal and State Requirements in the Contract Agreement. Title 49 CFR Part 26, Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in Federal and/or State Department of Transportation programs, applies to this contract. The Owner has set a DBE participation goal of 10% of the dollar value of this contract.
