Site work and paving for a civil project in Whitefish, Montana. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

In accordance with Title 18, Chapter 8 (MCA) and adopted City policy for consultant selection, The City of Whitefish, Montana (City) is seeking proposals from qualified consulting engineering firms to provide engineering services for the Riverbend/Miles Avenue Path Project. The Riverbend/Miles Avenue Path Project will involve design and construction of approximately 400 ft of shared use path, from the 2nd Street Veterans Bridge to the Riverbend Condos north property line. A conceptual drawing of the proposed shared use path has been prepared by Bruce Boody of Northwest Design Group. The scope of work will include surveying, engineering design, assistance with the Fish, Wildlife and Parks 124 permit, Environmental Assessment, Floodplain Permit Application, public relations and construction management services. The Flathead Conservation District approved a 310 permit for a raised boardwalk along the Riverbend Condos in 1983. The path was constructed, but was later removed. This project involves a shared use path along the Whitefish River adjacent to the Riverbend Condos. It is anticipated that most of the proposed path would be raised and cantilever partially over the Whitefish River. The existing path easement on the Riverbend Condo property is six feet wide. The City's goal is to award a consultant contract in February 2023.
