Plans call for the replacement of existing heating hot water line fittings & existing VAV coil kits at select locations throughout Genentech Hall. The project replaces existing victaulic fittings with new welded pipe fitting on all schedule 40 steel heating hot water piping (HHW) 2-1/2 inches and larger. Many of these fittings have failed and leak. The scope also includes replacing VAV coil kits for terminal units where leaks have been reported on all levels, approximately 114 in total. This work will occur in phases as described below. Work will also include removing existing control valves and old piping, furnish and install new piping and control valves, disconnecting and reconnecting all associated controls wiring, facilitating and coordinating the testing and verification process of the new installed system with the support of UCSF Team. Phase 1: Victaulic fittings replaced in level 1 corridor & MDF closet VAV coil kit replacements for all levels phase 2: victaulic fittings replaced in level 1 mechanical room phase 3: victaulic fittings replaced in rooftop penthouse Phase 4: Victaulic fittings replaced in the vertical HHW risers Contract Time: 210 days. Addendum #1-#3 have been issued as of 1-27-2023.
