BC Hydro's John Hart Dam seismic upgrade. The Independent Engineery BC Hydro and will act on behalf of the BC Ministry of Environment, under the Water Act, for an overall duration of approximately eight years. TIMELINE: Request for proposal from Independent Engineer services, has been issued by the owner. Responsibilities of the Independent Engineer will include providing high-level oversight and reporting on the design, construction, testing and environmental monitoring and recommending the issuance of Leave to Commence Construction and any additional Leaves required for the project. The Contract is expected to be for an initial term of seven (7) years, which may be extended for up to zero (0) year through one or more contract extensions, for a potential total term of seven (7) years. Delivery or completion date is 2030.
