Renovation of an educational facility in Portland, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Briefly, the Owner needs elements of the 1st Floor demolished to remove mold and water damaged materials. Water leaks in the steam system appear to have caused the water damage and the resulting mold. Question Deadline 01/13/2023 at 3:00 PM PT Prospective Bidders must submit questions or requests for clarification or change via email to proposals@pdx.edu. Demolition work is to include the following activities: o Removal of carpet, tile flooring, and sub-flooring down to bare concrete. o With areas of sub-flooring being removed, it is the responsibility of the Contractor to provide safety barricades and signage to prevent workplace injury. o Removal of all lath and plaster walls, trim, and insulation down to the studs (including the removal of all the lath nails). o Removal of all plaster ceilings, ceiling trim, soffits, etc. down to the bare beams and joists. o Removal of any remaining millwork, cabinetry, and leftover furniture. Demolish and abate mold in following areas, including but not necessarily limited to: o Entire North Wing of the 1st floor of BLKS, encompassing Rooms 101, 102, 104, 105, 107, 108, 112, 113, Community Kitchen 122, and connecting Hallway C100. Include all closets and bathrooms. o The interior of Rooms 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, in the South Wing of the 1st floor, not including Hallway C101. See Appendix 2.16 for exact walls to be demolished down to the studs. o The ceiling in Room 119 Woodshop. o Additional areas of demolition not identified the Work may be deemed necessary as the demolition progresses. If so, that additional work will be identified by PSU and the Contractor will be compensated via the change order process. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to bring additional areas requiring abatement to the attention of the PSU Project Manager
