Renovation of an educational facility in Ringwood, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Addition of Air-Conditioning to the Gymnasium at the Martin J. Ryerson Middle School. Last day of questions- Monday, January 9, 2023 no later than noon (12:00 p.m. prevailing time) without exceptions. Bidders shall use complete sets ofBidding Documents in preparing Bids. Neither the Owner nor the Architect will assume any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security deposit ofan amount equal to at least ten (10%) percent ofthe amount ofthe base bid, but not in excess of $20,000, the deposit may be either a certified check or cashier's check drawn on an incorporated bank or trust company payable to the order of the Owner, or a bid bond in favor of the Owner as a guarantee that, in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will execute such contract. Submission of the AIA Document A310-1970 or any other form limiting or potentially limiting the penal sum ofthe bond to any amount less than 10% of the bid price not to exceed $20,000 (such as forms of bond that limit the penal sum to the difference between the bid price and the district's cost for the work), will be cause for rejection ofthe bid. The bid security deposits of all excepting the three lowest bidders will, ifrequested, be returned after ten (10) days from the opening of bids, Sundays and holidays excepted, and the remaining deposits will be returned when the contract ofthe successful bidder is approved. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a New Jersey Statutory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount ofthe contract sum. Attention of the bidders is called particularly to the requirements of conditions of employment and to the minimum prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract as stated in the Instructions to Bidders, the General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, and the Supplementary General Conditions. Bidders are required to comply with the "Affirmative Action" requirements ofN.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and (NJAC 17:27). Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of New Jersey Public School Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. Bidders are required to comply with "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act" requirements ofN.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period ofsixty (60) days after the actual date ofthe opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject, any or all bids. Includes all work and materials required to complete the Work outlined in Contract Documents
