The intent of this Invitation for Bid is to establish a firm price for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to establish requirements contract for Electrical Services, per bid Specifications, General Terms and Conditions and Special Terms and Conditions. Services shall be provided on an 'as needed" basis. Work under this contract shall be for various projects and will be of a nature where electrical work is required to maintain services. The City reserves the right to issue a separate procurement for large projects exceeding $50,000.00. The City reserves the right to make multiple contract awards. CONTRACT COMMENCEMENT AND EXPIRATION: The contract shall commence on the Commencement Date set forth in the contract for Electrical Services and expire three (3) years later, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the provisions of this Contract. EXTENSION OF CONTRACT: The City reserves the right to extend the Contract for any reason for a period or periods up to but not to exceed 12 months. This extension may be exercised when the City determines that an extension of the Contract is advantageous to the City. RENEWAL: The City, at its sole option may renew this Contract for up to two (2) one year renewal terms by furnishing the Contractor with written notice of its decision to renew at least 60 calendar days before the expiration of the then-current term. If necessary, an addendum will be issued and posted on the City website at www.petersburg-va.org. It is the responsibility of the bidder to download any addenda. PERIOD OF CONTRACT The initial term or period of the contract shall be for a three-year (36 month) year period with the effective date to be determined at time of award, with the option of two (2) one (1) year renewal periods.
