Roofing materials have been purchased by the Town, and are available for review on site. This document includes an itemized list of the materials. It is the Town's intent to apply for a grant to install solar panels on the roof at a future time. The existing metal roof is to be removed and a new one installed. The installation process is also to include an in-place engineered repair on one roof truss. This document includes an engineer's drawing of the truss elevation and details (Attachment B). The building measures 50 feet by 100 feet. The roof has a 5 1/2 pitch, plus overhangs. Each side of the roof is approximately 104 feet by 36 feet, for a total roof area of approximately 7,600 square feet. As the Highway Department will likely be in use during the roof work, Contractor shall take every precaution to protect equipment and bystanders. This includes demarcating area below roof on all sides and erecting barriers to prevent pedestrian access. Staging should be fenced off; covered staging, at least four feet wide and eight feet long should be provided over entrance to the building. Legally dispose of all waste.
