Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Crestwood, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work at SOHS includes the development of a new entry plaza with Ticket Booth and entry gates, a new scoreboard/videoboard, the resurfacing of the existing 6-lane running track and D-zones, construction of new sidewalks and plazas to support a new ticket booth and modified home bleachers and the replacement of the visitor bleachers and associated pavements. The new Concessions building consists of a concessions room, public restrooms, and a locker room. It will be a masonry load bearing structure with metal beams and deck with a single-ply membrane roof, and brick veneer. Major systems include Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, and Voice/Data. Contracts shall be awarded on the basis of the lowest and best lump sum bid. Oldham County Schools appreciates your time and effort in preparing a bid and provides equal opportunities to all of its Bidders with respect to the bidding and award of Construction Contracts. Oldham County Schools require that the Bidder submit, with each bid, the following information. Each Bid shall be submitted on the Form of Proposal obtained from the Project Manual. 1. Proposal Form - properly signed, with completed listing of all subcontractors at time of submittal. 2. Bid Guaranty - properly signed, witnessed and executed. 3. Bidders shall refer to the Supplemental Instructions to Bidders for post-bid submittal information. Each Form of Proposal shall be complete per the instructions on the form, and submitted prior to the time of the Bid. Corrections to information on the Bid must be initialed in order to be valid. A Form of Proposal incorrectly or insufficiently completed will not be considered. The Form of Proposal shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope with project name and bid package listed on the outside. Separate bid package bids shall be submitted in separate envelopes. A bid may not be modified, withdrawn or cancelled by the Bidder for a period of (45) days after the designated time for receipt of Bids. Addenda: The last date for the Architect to receive items to be addressed in any addenda is February 7, 2023 by 12:00 p.m. EST. All requests must be submitted to the Architect in writing. Method of Receiving Bids: Bids will be received from Contractors for a Total Lump Sum Amount. All phases of the work shall be bid to and through the Contractor submitting the proposal. Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of each proposal submitted must accompany each Proposal in accordance with the Form of Proposal. Right to Reject and Waiver: The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner or to reject any bid where evidence or information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents. General Information: State Wage Rates are not applicable. Conflicts of interest, gratuities and kickbacks are defined in KRS 45A.445 and as provided for in KRS 45A.455 are absolutely prohibited. Preference for resident bidders shall be given as outlined in KRS 45A.90 to 45A.94. The successful bidder must supply a 100% Performance and Payment Bond as outlined in the Project Manual.
