Each contract will contain a specific participation goal. Description: This project, located in Charles County, is for the construction of a portion of MD 225 (Hawthorne Road). Beginning East of Preswicke Lane and extending in a Easterly direction to Adams Drive for a total distance 0.09 miles. The work will consist of the following: (a) Construction of Stream Stabilization and Slope Repair Measures (b)Full Depth Replacement of the Roadway Shoulder and replacement of existing W-beam barrier. (c)Vegetative Stabilization and Landscaping (d)Erosion and Sediment Control and Maintenance of Traffic Operations Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre Bid Conference will not be held for this project. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid.
