Renovation of a municipal facility in Sea Girt, New Jersey. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

As of 2/8/23, all bids rejected. A timeline for the rebid has not yet been established. For Building Renovations for the Borough of Sea Girt Municipal Building This project consists generally of Interior and Exterior Improvements to the Municipal Building. These improvements consist of Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing renovations to Borough Hall. Contract Documents may be examined Monday through Friday, except legal holidays, at the Office of the Administrator 312 Baltimore Boulevard, Sea Girt, NJ 08750. Contract Documents are available solely for the purpose of obtaining Bids and not to confer a license or grant for any other purpose. The Borough will not be responsible for late mail deliveries and no bids will be accepted if received after the time stipulated in the notice to bidders. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal Forms in the manner designated in the Bid Documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, and the name of the work on the outside addressed to the Clerk, Borough of Sea Girt; and must be accompanied by a statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to The Borough of Sea Girt and either a Bid Bond, Certified or Cashier's check drawn to the order of The Borough of Sea Girt for not less ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check need not to exceed $20,000. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond for the full amount of the project is required. A certificate is required from a surety company stating that it will provide bonds in the form and amounts as stated in the Contract Documents. 10. Minority and Women Owned businesses are welcome to bid this project. State wage rates must be adhered to. Wage rates posted at time of bidding shall be used. 11. SUBMISSION OF BIDS: The successful bidder will be required to execute a contract for the performance of the said work or the furnishing of said material or both, as the case may be, and a surety bond to be executed by a reliable surety company in a sum equal to the amount of the contract price for said work and/or material, guaranteeing the performance of the contract, which surety bond and contract shall be approved as to form and execution by the Borough Solicitor. Contractors and Sub-Contractors pay the State Wage Rates and fringe benefits in effect at the time the contract is signed. Bidders are required to comply with all applicable Laws and Regulations including the N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action) P.L. 1999, C.238 (Public Works Contractor Registration), P.L. 1963, c.i50 (Prevailing Wages), and P.L. 2004, C.57 P.L. 2009 C.315 (New Jersey Business Registration Requirements). Bidders are required to comply with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (N.J.S.A.10:5-31 et seq.) and Affirmative Action) N.J.A.C. 17:27) and with disclosure provisions of N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.13. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 1 50 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964. Bidders shall comply with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 latest revision, regarding Business Registration with the New Jersey Division of Revenue. During the performance of this contract the Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), all requirements of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:1 10 et seq.) as amended and the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), as amended with regard to worker and jobsite safety. The Borough reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The Borough reserves the right to award this contract based on funds available. The award of the contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Borough of Sea Girt in a lawful manner. The Borough of Sea Girt reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt of said bids. The Borough of Sea Girt also reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the best interest of the Borough of Sea Girt. The Bidder shall comply with the statutory requirements set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 regarding bid withdrawal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the Borough of Sea Girt, New Jersey for all proceedings, suits or actions of any kind of description and conditional for the faithful performance of the work. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price Indemnifying The Borough of Sea Girt, New Jersey for all proceedings, suits or actions of any kind description And condition for the faithful performance of the work. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any immaterial defect or informality in any Bid, if deemed in the best interest of the Owner. CONTRACT TIME: 160 days
