ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be received by EAST PEORIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT #86 hereinafter known as the Owner, for the PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS - GLENDALE SCHOOL project. Completion of this project shall be on or before August 1st, 2023. Work will include improvements at Glendale School. Work includes HMA Pavement, P.C.C. Pavement, P.C.C. Sidewalk, Sealcoat, Concrete Curb and Gutter, Earthwork / Grading, Paint Pavement Markings, Storm Sewer, and other Miscellaneous Site Improvements and Restoration. All bidders are hereby advised that they must submit a Pre-qualification Statement for this Project prior to opening of Bids. An IDOT Certificate of Eligibility Statement will be deemed acceptable for the Prime/General Contractor bidding this work. Bids for "All Work" will be received by the Owner in the District's Administration Office located at 601 Taylor Street, East Peoria, Illinois, until 1:00 p.m. local time, Wednesday, January 11th, 2023. Bids will be publicly opened, read aloud and recorded. Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days from due date. Every bid shall consist of two (2) completed copies of Bid Documents and shall be accompanied by bid guarantee consisting of bid bond, certified check or cashier's check made payable to East Peoria Elementary School District 86, in the amount of five percent of total of bids upon which Contractor is bidding. Failure of bidder to submit bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of this bid. Commencement of the work on the project may begin as soon as June 7th, 2023. Any work before this date shall be subject to the discretion of East Peoria Elementary School District #86. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner. Bids on all work of this contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act" (Illinois Revised Statues, Chapter 48, Section 395S - 1-12).
