Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lompoc, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The City of Lompoc is planning a solicitation for (50) Hydrant installation services.90 working days after date of Notice to Proceed. The work shall include, but not limited to furnishing and installing new fire hydrants, including saw cutting, new fittings, pipe, thrust blocks, connection to existing pipe just off the bury, backfilling, testing, and disinfection. Removal of all necessary materials and existing items which are being replaced. All hardscape and landscape areas to be replaced to existing conditions or better. Traffic control shall be included in this bid item. Each hydrant is a case-by-case scenario and should be discussed and approved prior to work commencing with Engineer. Follow all MUTCD, State & Local Standards for traffic control. The work includes but is not necessarily limited to the following: Furnish and install new fire hydrants; traffic control; pothole utilities; pavement saw cutting; structure excavation; disposal of existing parts and materials at proper disposal site; install Ductile Iron pipe (DIP) and fittings; trench bedding and backfill; removal & disposal of existing concrete and asphalt concrete, furnish and construct Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) sidewalk, cross-gutter, curb& gutter, and ADA Ramps; clean-up and related work as required to complete the work as specified by these Special Provisions, including plan exhibits, the Standard Plans and Specifications For Public Works Construction ("Greenbook") 2015 edition, and the City Standard Requirements. CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE: The City anticipates awarding the contract on March 1, 2023; executing the contract between March 1 and March 15, 2023; and issuing Notice to Proceed on April 1, 2023. Proposals will not be considered unless they are made on the proposal forms furnished with Project Manual - Part B.Project Manual - Part A, for full direction as to bidding, etc. The City of Lompoc reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or make the award to the lowest responsible bidder. CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION: No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 (with limited exceptions to this requirement for bid purposes only, under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)). No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR, and the contractor and subcontractors must furnish electronic certified payroll records to the Labor Commissioner. The contractor shall post the job site notices as prescribed by the regulation, pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.4(a)(2). BONDS: Each proposal must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bidder's bond of the prescribed form and made payable to the City of Lompoc for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, such guaranty to be forfeited, should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to furnish the required bonds and to enter into a contract with the City within the period of time provided by the Proposal Requirements. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: In accordance with provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the City has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid Class A or C-8 License at the time of award. The Contractor shall be properly licensed at the time the contract is awarded. No contract will be awarded from a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS: The Standard Specifications for this project are contained in the 2015 edition, including all supplementary pamphlets, of the Standard Specifications For Public Works Construction ("Greenbook"), as written and promulgated by the Joint Cooperative Committee of the Southern California Chapter of the American Public Works Association and the Southern California District of the Associated General Contractors of California. Copies of the Standard Specifications are available from the publisher, Building News, Incorporated, 10801 National Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90064, Telephone (800) 873-6397. PREVAILING WAGE RATES: Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in the county of Santa Barbara, in which the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. These wages are set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project, available at the City of Lompoc address and available from the California Department of Industrial Relations' Internet web site at http://www.dir.ca.gov. Future effective general prevailing wage rates which have been predetermined and are on file with the California Department of Industrial Relations are referenced but not printed in the general prevailing wage rates. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
