Scope of work: Airfield Drainage Improvements All bidders, including the successful BIDDER, shall comply with all City, County, and State provisions in law relative to work covered by this legal notice including licensing and/or permit laws. All bidders must be licensed contractors to perform this type of construction herein described as required by Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 6. The bidder's name, license number, classification and expiration date must be place on the envelope containing the Contractor's bid. Envelopes must be sealed. BIDS are based upon prevailing wages in Gibson County, Tennessee; and in no case are wages considered less than those predetermined by the Secretary of Labor, a schedule of which is contained in the Contract Documents. The Gibson County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000d) and 49 CFR, Part 26, Non Discrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that disadvantaged business enterprises are afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
