START & COMPLETION DATE: It is desired that all Work be Substantially Complete as soon as possible after field work commencement. Work shall be substantially completed no later than August 10, 2023 and fully complete by June 15, 2024. If the work is not substantially complete on or before this date, or within this period of time, or extension thereof granted by the Owner, damage will be sustained by the Owner and that it is and will be impracticable and extremely difficult to fix the actual damage which the Owner will sustain in the event of and by reason of such delays. The Contractor shall pay to the Owner liquidated damages in the sum of $2,500 for each calendar day of delay. Any sums that may be due to the Owner as liquidated damages may be deducted from any monies due or to become due the Contractor under the Contract or may be collected from the Contractor's surety. Contractor shall start Work (shop drawings and office work) as soon as possible after Contract execution. SCOPE A. The work covered by this section of the specifications consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials, and on performing all operations in connection with temporary utilities in accordance with the standards listed below and these specifications.
