When sending Proposal via e-mail, the Proponent is responsible for ensuring that its Proposal is received before the RFP Closing Date and Time at the Proposal depository e-mail address specified on the cover of the RFP. The Province assumes no responsibility for server availability or any other technical problem that prevents the Proposal from being received by, or opened after, the RFP Closing Date and Time. File size of both Packages of Proposal should not exceed 10 MB. Package 1, the RFP Qualifications Submission Should be limited to 25 singlesided, 8 1/2 " x 11" pages or equivalent (e.g. 11" x 17" for charts, schedules, etc. count as 2 pages). The page limit excludes a cover letter, table of contents, and individual's resumes. Proponents may include additional information which they consider relevant, but the maximum number of pages should not be exceeded. Any pages which extend beyond the page limitation will not be evaluated. Proponent should use an easy to read font type and size, such as 11 point Arial or 12 point Times New Roman. The scope of this project encompasses Park Infrastructure condition assessment at Ram Falls Provincial Park and various West Country Provincial Recreation Areas (PRAs) listed below. This assessment is needed in order to review the Park's and the PRAs' ability to appropriately support camping, recreation, and conservation in the future. Much of the existing park facilities, amenities, and infrastructure at these sites is in poor condition and below current provincial standards. Public safety, erosion, circulation, signage, site grading, and campground amenities are some of the challenges faced at these locations. In response to these issues, Alberta Parks has initiated plans to upgrade various facilities and amenities. The first step in this planning process (this project) is to complete a Park Infrastructure Assessment to evaluate the condition of all existing infrastructure and amenities at the locations identified below. Following the process outlined in this RFP, the successful Proponent will work with the Province to document current issues and site conditions as well as develop recommendations and options for the future. As a planning document, the Assessment will serve as a decision making tool for the Province to prioritize projects for future implementation. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
