Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Worcester, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
As of June 5, 2023, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. The Project consists of the construction of an exterior walking trail with an open air pavilion The Owner invites the submission of Sealed Bid Proposals to furnish materials and labor to complete the Exterior Walking Trail & Pavilion Project Project No. 2022-019 all in accordance with the plans and specifications. This work is to be bid under SINGLE PRIME CONTRACTS system, in accordance with the Wicks Law Reform, covering the work of all trades under one (1) contract as follows: Contract No. 5 - Site Construction. 47-25-06-04-0-001-013 Main Building 47-25-06-04-7-007-001 Pavilion A pre-bid meeting will not be required. If any contractor would like to review the site at the district, you will need to set up an appointment with the Superintendent of Buildings and Ground Glenn Janquish (607)-778-0427 Bids shall be prepared as set forth in the Information to Bidders, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on its face the name, address and phone number of the bidder and the title of the project. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Architect/Engineer, and the respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation or recommendation of any bid. The Owner further reserves its right to disqualify bidders for any material failure to comply with the Information for Bidders and General, Supplementary, and Special Conditions. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or defects in such bid either before or after opening. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the "INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS". Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and to the minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 business days after the date of the opening of bids.Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the "INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS". Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and to the minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 business days after the date of the opening of bids. Please pay particular attention to the Form of Proposal and it related forms in the project manual. Out-of-State Bidders are required to complete the "Statement Concerning Authority to do Business in the State of New York for non-New York State Companies" located in the Form of Proposal package. There are three sections that must be completed. You must also have the Non-Collusion Certificate completed and signed and if you are a corporation, you must have the Resolution completed and signed. No bid will be considered when opened unless accompanied by a certified copy of your Authority to do Business in New York State. This is not to be confused with a sales tax certificate. The Authority can be obtained by contacting: New York State Department of State Division of Corporations 162 Washington Avenue Albany, NY 12231 (518) 473-2492 If the Certificate does not accompany the bid, the bid is not valid. In the event you are of the opinion that you are not required to obtain the Authority To Do Business in New York state, and you are not a New York State Corporation, then you should complete the Statement Concerning Authority to do Business. You must complete two out of three sections. The top portion must be completed by all vendors needing to complete this document and then either the Individual Acknowledgement or the Corporate Acknowledgement, depending on the status of your business. Each bid must be accompanied by certified check of the bidder or by a bid bond prepared on a standard approved form, duly executed by the bidder as principal, and having as surety thereon a surety company authorized to do business within the State of New York. Bid security shall be in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid or not less than 5% of the sum of base bids where such base bids may be considered cumulative. Such checks will be returned to all except the three lowest formal bidders, within three working days after the formal opening of bids & the remaining cash or checks will be returned to the three lowest bidders within 48 hours after the Owner and the accepted bidder have executed a contract. If no contract has been so executed within 45 days after the opening of bids, bid security will be returned upon demand of the bidder at any time thereafter so long as he has not been notified of the acceptance of his bid. Simultaneously with his delivery of the executed contract, the successful bidder must deliver to the Owner three (3) originals of an executed bond in the amount of 100% of the accepted bid as security for the faithful performance of the contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection therewith, prepared in the standard form of Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Payment Bond, AIA Form A312-2010 and having as surety thereon such surety company or companies as are acceptable to and approved by the Owner, and as are authorized to transact business in New York State. Each Bidder must obtain and submit with his Bid the Statement of Surety's Intent attached to the Bid form, completed and signed by a duly authorized surety company licensed to do business in New York State. This requirement will not apply in the case of contracts for supplies only and involving no labor on the site. SCHEDULE OF ALTERNATES A. Contract No. 1 - Site Construction: 1. Alternate No. SC-01: Asphalt Walk Paving: The Site Contractor shall provide material and labor dollars to furnish and install asphalt paving in luie of stone dust as described on sheet L100 - Overall Stie Plan 2. Alternate No. SC-02: Site Drainage: The Site Contractor shall provide material and labor dollars to furnish and install underground drainage piping and a yard drain as described on sheet L100 - Overall Stie Plan 3. Alternate No. SC-03: Chain Link Fencing: The Site Contractor shall provide material and labor dollars to furnish and install 8'-0" high chain link fence with provay slats and hinged gate as described on sheet L100 - Overall Stie Plan 4. Alternate No. SC-04: Pavilion Electrical Work: The Site Contractor shall provide material and labor dollars to furnish and install electrical conduit, wiring, fixtures and outlets as described on sheets E010- Electrical Stie Plan and A100 Pavilion Plan, Sections and Details 5. Alternate No. SC-05 Exercise workout Stations: The Site Contractor shall provide material and labor dollars to furnish and install 8 workout station areas as described on drawings L100 - Overall Site Plan and L101- Site Enlargement Plans. Work Schedule 1. Mobilization: August, 2024 2. Commence: August 2024 3. Substantial Completion: October 2024 4. Final Completion: November 2024
