Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in North Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
Vendor is responsible for ensuring his or her bid is received on time. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the State of South Carolina and satisfactory to the Owner in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total offer as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the required Agreement will be executed and that a 100% Performance and Payment Bond and insurance certificates will be furnished. Checks, regardless of form, will not be accepted in lieu of a Bid Bond. The Contractor is hereby directed to conduct the asbestos work where applicable in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Register 40 CFR Part 61 Environmental Protection Agency National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants; Asbestos NESHAP Revision; Final Rule, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Regulation 61-86.1; Standards of Performance for Asbestos Abatement Operations, and any other applicable Local, State, and Federal Requirements. The Contractor shall prepare to dispose of all visible and obvious asbestos materials in the prescribed manner allowed by State law. Garage Structure (Approx. 500 Total SF). 4. 2530 Jonah Street, North Charleston, SC 29406. Structures (Approx. 1,050 Total SF). 5. 8822 Auburn Drive, North Charleston, SC 29406. Single Family Structure (Approx. 1,008 Total SF). 6. 2230 Mott Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405. 2 Story Structure (Approx. 1,920 Total SF). 7. 2247 Mott Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405. Commercial Structure (Approx. 2,166 Total SF). Terracon Consultants Inc. (Terracon) conducted an asbestos survey at the building located at 2037 Echo Avenue in North Charleston, South Carolina. The site consists of one approximately 1,000 square-foot (SF) single-family residency. The purpose of this survey was to sample and identify suspect asbestos-containing materials (ACM) and provide information regarding the identity, location, condition and approximate quantities of ACM in both interior and exterior building components.
