This bid is for furnishing and installing guardrail, anchorages, and terminal units, of the type specified at the locations as needed in the City of Rochester. Removal and disposal of damage guardrail shall be included in this work All material and work shall be performed in accordance with the State of New Hampshire Department of Transportation, (NHDOT), Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (latest edition), Section 606 and Standard Detail (No.-1, GR-2, GR-4, Gr-5) The City of Rochester, NH will be responsible for all excavation work (backfilling of removal holes from old wood posts, preparation of EAGRT platforms, winter sand removal, etc) Locations will be identified as needed by the Public Works Department. The City of Rochester will supply traffic control as needed with 2 days scheduling notification. Measurement for payments of any portion of completed work shall be based on quantities measured and recorded by the Public Works Department to the nearest tenth of the unit. The accepted quantity will be paid for at the as bid unit price. Payment shall constitute full compensation for all the labor, material, removal and disposal of damaged guardrail, and incidental work. This will be a 2 year bid good through June 30, 2024. In the event that both parties agree, the award may be extended for one additional year.
