Each bid shall be accompanied by bid proposal security in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, postal money order, or surety bond made payable to the order of King County Hospital District No. 2 for a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. No bid shall be considered unless accompanied by such bid proposal security. The bid is for performing all Work including furnishing and installing equipment in accordance with the bid documents, plans and specifications. This is a public works project, and therefore must comply with prevailing wage requirements. The work includes but is not limited to: Phase I: Tenant Improvement, approximately 10,000 sf in area. Scope includes, but not limited to demolition of existing partitions and ceilings, construction of new partitions and ceilings, modifications to mechanical and electrical systems. New Lighting and finishes Bids shall be publicly opened and read, and the Owner shall proceed to canvass the bids and may award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder on plans and specifications on file. The Owner reserves the right, to waive all informalities, or to reject any or all bids, and no contract shall be let in excess of the estimated cost ofsuch project. No bidders may withdraw their bids after the hour set for the receipt thereof unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the date and time for receipt of the bids.
