The James City County/ James City Service Authority (JCSA) (The Owner) is seeking competitive quotes for the emergency well pump and motor assembly removal and installation at W-33 located at 5374 Centerville Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. The purpose of the work is to remove the existing assembly (pump, motor, drop pipe, motor wires, transducer and related appurtenances), in order to replace the failed pump and motor. The Contractor shall have 14 calendar days to complete Phase I of the work and 14 days to complete Phase II of the work once Notices to Proceed are issued for each respective phase. Phase I will include the removal of the existing assembly, well video and submittal submissions. Phase II will include the installation of the new assembly, disinfection and sampling. Phase II Notice to Proceed will not be issued till the Contractor provides verification of the pump and motor delivery from the manufacturer. The Contractor shall provide all materials, supplies, equipment, supervision, and labor for the assembly removal and installation described below. The assembly removal and installation includes the following; pump, motor, threaded drop pipe, check valve, transducer, motor cables and Owner provided transducer. The Contractor shall also perform a well video survey and any required welding, grinding, thread cleaning, cutting and wire splicing required for the removal and installation work described below complete and in place. All questions that are pertinent to the RFQ will be answered in the form of an addendum, which will be uploaded to the James City County Portal. Inspect and certify satisfactory completion of all work performed under the contract. All workmanship shall be subject to inspection and examination by The Owner at any time during the performance of the work. The Owner shall have the right to reject defective workmanship or require correction of the work.
