Saving Project...

Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The major items of work include, demolition of existing building (189) including a smaller out-building (187), abatement of asbestos containing material associated to underground steam lines (CAT 1 and friable material), demolition of underground utilities, surface removals, grading, and restoration. Temporary erosion control, clearing and grubbing, and abatement of building asbestos containing materials (Cat 2 ACM), will be done by others. The entire project, including cleanup, shall be substantially completed within 45 working days. The Central Certification (CERT) Program requirement on this project is 25% of Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE), Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), and/or Small Business Enterprise (SBE). A workforce utilization goal of 20% women and 32% minority has been established for the project. Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond. The county has adopted the Principals for Inclusiveness in Contracting Program ("IICP") in order to increase participation of small businesses ("SBEs") in the county's purchasing activities. Bolander reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities or irregularities and to accept any bid if such action is believed to be for the best interest of Ramsey County.
