The Project will be delivered using a design-build delivery method per California Public Contract Code section 22160, et seq. The following summarizes the County's Project objectives. o Provide the flexibility to address current and future program and service needs. o Expand the evidence-based programming, counseling, treatment and reentry services. o Provide female housing with dedicated program service spaces. o Create a more effective, efficient and productive programming environment. o Provide a quality medical clinic with mental health treatment beds. Firms must have and demonstrate their experience in providing design-build services similar to the County's project described herein (experience with California local governments is desirable). The County will invite the top three (3) ranked Design Build Teams to respond to the County's Request for Proposals (RFP). The Design Build Teams are expected to provide a conceptual design that meets the performance and design criteria set forth in the Bridging Documents, complies with other County provided documentation included in the resulting RFP, and includes the Design-Builder's best value recommendations. The County will ultimately award a design-build contract to the top-ranked Design Build Team whose proposal is determined by the County to have offered the best value to the public in response to the RFP and based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the RFP document.
