The board formally approved a $17,381,000 renovation contract with Clarksburg-based City Construction Company, Inc. to significantly rework the 200 John St. facility in Cedar Grove. That contract became official with the School Building Authority of West Virginia's approval of a $2 million grant on Tuesday morning. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Work of this Project is defined by the Contract Documents, and consists of the following: 1. Renovations and Addition to an elementary school featuring the following: a. Selective demolition. b. Building addition housing a new activity room and office areas. c. Construction of exterior cavity masonry walls where indicated. d. Roof replacement and improvements. e. Interior partition walls and room finishes. f. Interior flush wood doors in hollow metal door frames. g. Hollow metal doors and frames. h. New aluminum-framed storefront entrances and glazing. i. New interior room finishes including suspended acoustical panel ceiling. j. Interior Signage. k. Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical system alterations.
